THE LATEST

10-Year TMDL Plan

The new Long Lake and Farquar Lake 10-Year TMDL Plan has been approved by the City of Apple Valley. Implementation of this new plan will begin in 2018.

A new sign, installed by the city in Long Lake Park, describes the features and benefits of the iron-enhanced filtration system which was completed in 2014. The system filters phosphorous out of drainage water before it enters Long Lake. 

 

There are two sand areas that total 8,600 square feet, funded primarily by a $137,000 grant from the Clean Water Fund.
